Default how can i be examined while i cant sit down?

hello friends, im so severly hadicap that i even cant sit down to under go preoperative lasik exam , but there is a charity group here who say if i give them the names of equipments used to examine my eyes prior to operation they will try to provide the handheld types of those equipmens, my question is that are there handheld to equipments to determine if i am a good candidate for lasik operation and if the answer is yes what are the names of those equipmens? thanks in advance and awaiting any helping answer.

Hi,

You will need to find a surgeon and ask him or her this question. Many of the instruments needed for a LASIK evaluation are already hand held. It is possible that your local doctor already has the instruments you need.

hello dear admin
not only my eye doctor but no other eye doctors in our city or state/province have handheld equipments to examine my eyes for lasik candidacy, i really need the names of those handheld equipments, thx again and bye for now

OK, as a general rule, you will need the following hand-held instruments:

1. Corneal topographer
2. Corneal pachymeter
3. Perhaps a hand-held slit lamp

These are in addition to the instruments that most all doctors already have.

Again, though, you need to find a specific doctor and ask him/her.
